Continuum

Continuum for VS Code

Learn in the course. Prove it in your editor.

Pull an exercise into VS Code, write the Java yourself, and run the same checks used to verify the course. Compilation and testing happen on your machine. There is no account and no code upload.

Download for VS CodeVersion 0.1.0 · 2.5 MB

Before you install

You need VS Code and a full JDK, version 17 or newer. A JRE alone cannot compile your work.

Install the extension

  1. Download the .vsix file above.
  2. In VS Code, open Extensions.
  3. Open the menu, choose Install from VSIX…, and select the file.
  4. Run Continuum: Choose Course Folder from the Command Palette.

You can also install from a terminal with code --install-extension continuum-0.1.0.vsix.

What stays on your computer

Your solutions, attempts, compiler output, and test results stay in the course folder you choose. After an exercise has been fetched once, you can read it, edit it, and check it without a network connection.
